Startled Bunny Productions was established in 1999 by two ex members of the BBC, to develop new and original programme ideas and quality training events.   We were looking for the flexibility to go out and work on our chosen projects.

PRODUCTION

Since then our productions have included corporate, documentary and promotional.   We are able to provide a complete package in terms of scripting, shooting and editing. 

This has led to us shooting all over the place, for many different organisations.  We have found ourselves scrambling down tunnels in children’s play areas, recording the words of literary giants, and this summer filming on the shores of Loch Ness - no, Nessie didn’t put in an appearance….but luckily that wasn’t in the script.

TRAINING

More recently we have devised a portfolio of training courses based around our knowledge and experience.   In reality we have been running training courses for a number of years.  These include hands-on filmmaking training for those wishing to learn to learn how to make a film.  We also use the experience of filmmaking as a tool for developing personal effectiveness. 

It’s fascinating how the process of making a film seems to lend itself to identifying and developing both individual and team skills.  It may be something to do with having a shared project and vision to work towards, often within too short a time-scale, demanding maximum input in terms of skill and determination!  But we have found it to be a dynamic and enjoyable way of learning.
