Workshop Aim To provide the course materials, information and hands-on experience to equip learners to start initiating their own film projects.
Who should attend? This course is for those who want to gain experience of the whole film production process. The material is aimed at those who have little or no hands-on experience of filmmaking.
Learners will develop a short film from the ideas stage, to scripting, pre-production, shooting and editing. It’s a great opportunity to work with actors, become familiar with the technical equipment and shoot on location. From experience we know that with filmmaking the most powerful learning experience, is going out and doing it!

By the end of the workshop you will be able to: • Lay out a script correctly • Outline the main camera moves and shot sizes • Demonstrate a knowledge of the production paperwork & permissions required for a location shoot • Direct actors at a basic level • Operate a camera at a basic level • Operate sound equipment at a basic level • Outline the duties of each member of the production crew • Identify the key principles of editing • Contribute to the editing process • Critically evaluate the completed video project
